Found & Felt is a small app made by a small team, currently in early testing. These are the terms you agree to when you use it. We’ve tried to write them the way we write everything else here — plainly, without hiding anything in the middle of a long sentence.
Found & Felt (“Found & Felt”, “we”, “us”) is the app these terms cover. It is made and operated by O’Fung Studios, LLC, which also owns this website. You can reach a real person at zenia@foundandfelt.com.
The app is in early testing with a small group of families. That means things will change, features will come and go, and something will occasionally break. We may add, remove, or alter how the app works, and we may end the testing programme, at any time.
Please don’t treat Found & Felt as the only copy of anything. Keep your photos backed up the way you normally would.
You need an account to use the app, and you need to be at least 18 years old to create one. Keep your login details to yourself, and tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to your account.
You’re responsible for what happens under your account, including any content added through it.
You own your photos and you own your answers. Nothing in these terms transfers that.
To make the app work, you give us permission to process the photos you make available to it and the answers you write — that is, to store them, generate written moments from them, assemble your book and the PDF of each moment you answer, and print and ship a book if you order one. That permission exists only to provide the service to you, and it ends when you delete the content or your account, other than copies we’re required to keep by law or that remain in routine backups for a short period.
We do not sell your content. We do not use it for advertising. We do not use it to train AI models.
This website — not the app — uses analytics so we can see what’s working and where people get stuck. What we collect: the pages you visit, the link or site that sent you here, a rough location (city or country, worked out from your IP address), your browser and device type, and how you use the page — what you click, how far you scroll, which questions you open, and whether you start and finish the early-access form.
We may also record how a page is used, including screen recordings of this website. We don’t follow you around other websites, and we don’t know your name or your email unless you type it into the form yourself — and if you do, we use it only to contact you about early access.
This is handled for us by PostHog, an analytics provider working on our behalf. We never sell any of it.
The scenes and questions in the app are drafted by AI from what appears in your photos. They’re a starting point, not a record of fact: dates, places, names, and details can be wrong, and sometimes the writing simply misses. You can edit or delete any moment, and we’d encourage you to read anything before it’s printed.
Your answers are your own writing and are never generated for you.
The PDF of each moment you answer is free to download. Printing a physical book is optional and paid.
If you order a printed book, the price — including shipping and any taxes — is shown to you before you confirm. Nothing is printed or charged without you saying so. Because each book is made specifically for you, orders can’t be cancelled once printing has begun. If a book arrives damaged, misprinted, or wrong, tell us within 30 days and we’ll reprint or refund it.
The app, the site, the name Found & Felt, the crow, the wordmark, and the design and templates of the printed book belong to us. You may use the PDFs and printed book of your own year however you like — keep it, share it, print more copies at home. Please don’t reuse our branding or templates for something of your own.
You can stop using Found & Felt and delete your account whenever you want. When you delete your account we delete your content, subject to the short retention described in section 4.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or when we stop offering the service. If we close the service down, we’ll give you reasonable notice and a way to download your moments as PDFs first.
Found & Felt is provided “as is”. While it’s in testing especially, we can’t promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will find every moment that matters to you.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we’re not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data or lost content. Where we are liable, our total liability to you is limited to the greater of the amount you’ve paid us in the previous 12 months or 50 USD. Nothing here limits liability that can’t be limited by law.
We may update these terms as the app changes. If a change materially affects you, we’ll let you know in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Found & Felt after that means the updated terms apply.
